    Molly--1st in age group, 10k, Beth, lst in age group, 5k; Carol, 4th in age group, 5k; Fran--pr in 5k, 5th overall; Kim, 6th in age group, 5k.

    April 18: Raintree Run

    Molly--2nd in age group, 1/2 marathon; Kim, 5k; Fran, pr, 5K, Marjorie, 1 mile fun walk

    May 2: MayFest 5K Run

    Ann--1st in age group; second overall. Kim, Fran(pr)--tie for 3rd in age group

  • May 9: Leavenworth CGSC Triathlon

    • Team E -- Kim (run) Fran (bike) MF (swim) 3rd Women's Open Division

    team e placed third in the women's open division at this weekend's Leavenworth CGSC Triathlon. CGSC stands for something extrememly military. More important, this feat was accomplished despite the fact that biker Frannie suffered major injuries during a crash at 35 mph on the downhill. After she recovered from seeing stars (literally) plucky Fran saddled up and completed the second loop of the hilly and dangerous 16 mile course (which was advertised to have been 12. 4). Fran wins this week's,and possibly this season's, Major Goddess award. Hear team e's new theme song! FR!! (Fran rules!)

    May 16: Auburn Biathlon (10k run, 20 mile bike)

    Molly--3rd in age group, PR in 10K portion

  • May 17: Heritage Park Duathlon/Triathlon (.3 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 5k run)

    • Kim--2nd in age group

    May 24-25: team e goes rockhounding!!

    team e members Colin, Fran, Gentry, Kim, and Tierra take a fascinating tour of central Kansas to find rocks, minerals, and fossils. Include among the finds were agates, pyrite crystals, a large quantity of mystery crystals, fossils, and geodes. Much pizza was eaten by all!!

  • May 31: Trinity Hospital Hill 5k, 12k, 1/2 Mary

    PWs for all!!! But we DIIFP!!

  • June 6: Missouri Miles Sprint Triathlon
    •

    team e--Fran, MF, Katie (in her first e-event!!hooray!!)-1st Place Women's Team
    Molly---2d in Age Group! Kim--last in age group, but she distinguished herself with PWs in ALL THREE PARTS of the event!!

  • June 20: Topeka Tinman Triathlon
    •

    Mary Lou: 2d in age group in her first EVER triathlon, congrats, ML!
    Kim: 3rd in age group
    team e (Kate, Fran, Katie)--would have had first place in the bag except that Katie ran an extra 2 miles...bummer!

  • June 28: Lawrence Memorial Hospital Triathlon

    Molly:fourth in age group, long course! Kim: Well, at least she wasn't dead last in her age group this time....
